The 90210 Appearance

T

he rumors are indeed true: we have joined the likes of the Flaming Lips, Cardigans and The Cramps & have embraced the pop culture TV juggernaut Beverly Hills 90210.  Our episode, in which Naomi’s inheritance kicks in and she throws herself a posh 18th birthday soiree (we’re flattered, and a touch surprised, that Naomi requested our quirky ditty “Moonlight” as the entertainment), will air tonight on the C Dub at 8pm/7c.  Tune in and turn on.

For those of you who do not yet consider music purchases an anachronism, we’ve made Moonlight available on iTunes as a digital single, bundled with an as-yet-unreleased track, Arm In Arm, from our forthcoming and yet-to-be-named full-length record, which will be out in Jan 2011.  Moonlight also underwent a tasteful remix for 90210 by our friend Damon Elliott—thanks Damon.

The 4th of July Show :: The W in D.C.

We’ve been invited to perform at a fancy little shindig in our nation’s capital on July 4.  With a respectful (awed, even) nod to the Beatles, we’ll be performing on a rooftop, but this absolutely will not be our farewell concert.  We’re just getting started, and heck, we’ve got a new record to promote!  The show will take place at the W Hotel in D.C., and we’ll be playing at 7 pm, right before the fireworks begin (well, after our metaphorical fireworks and before the literal fireworks).  Should be the best views—both of Honey DuContra and of the fireworks—in the city.  For admission to the party/performance purchase your July 4th hotel package by clicking HERE or by calling 8 77 WHOTELS. Tickets are available for public sale on Monday, June 14th by calling 202.661.2478.

Meet The Honey Brothers with 8 Tickets & 2 Hours of Bowling in Lane 5 - Best Sight Lines In Venue -

Grab seven friends and meet The Honey Brothers!  You may know them as Brooklyn’s only ukulele-driven indie folk band, or you may know them as the band that features the star of the hit HBO series Entourage, Adrian Grenier!

Either way, what better way to spend a Friday night than enjoying a cold, Brooklyn-brewed beer from one of 10 taps, gnoshing on the always delicious Blue Ribbon food, and watching The Honey Brothers from Lane Five- the BEST sightlines in the entire venue! On Friday, December 18, you will experience a rock show like never before!

You will receive:

  • 8 tickets to the The Honey Brothers concert at Brooklyn Bowl on December 18
  •

  • Meet and greet with The Honey Brothers including Adrian Grenier and the real Ari Gold
  •

  • 2 hours of bowling in Lane 5 - the BEST sight lines in the entire venue!
  •

  • 8 shoe rentals
  •

The Honey Brothers like to tell people they formed one dog year ago at ukulele fantasy camp, then took to the streets of New York City, serenading street people and pretzel vendors with their whimsical new-wave folk tunes. This anecdote might tell you something about the spirit in which The Honey Brothers were conceived, way back in 2001 in the wake of 9/11. “The band began as a way to find joy in life,” says Ari Gold, who, with his college friends Andrew Vladeck and DS Posner, formed the group’s original nucleus.
